Meet Brenda R. Holifield
A native Chicagoian born and raised on the West side, Brenda love for service began during her pre-teen years. She worked in the campaign offices alongside her brother for the Late Mayor Harold Washington (Member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated) and currently the Honorable Judge Timothy C. Evan (during one of his tenors as Alderman in the 4th Ward). Brenda currently works as a Police Communications Operator which she continues to display her commitment and dedication to public service.
In 2014, Brenda founded the Javar E. Shorty, Jr Foundation, NFP organization after the loss of her son. The organization has given out scholarships to assist students pursuing high education.
Brenda is an active member of the illustrious organization Zeta
Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She serves as appointed chairperson on the Executive Board, appointed board member of the White Rose Foundation 501c3 and is a member of numerous other committees.
Brenda earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Robert Morris College. She continued her quest for education and in 2005 earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is seeking to obtain her Master of Divinity in Theological Studies. Brenda's philosophy is singly based on her favorite biblical quote, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me", Philippians 4:13.
